Restaurants in college towns are positioned for success. They’re nearby hungry students and offer great service, staff, and product. Yet, what allows some restaurants to thrive, while others shut down?

I designed and prototyped Snack stack from start to finish.

Mystery shopping offers an opportunity for a competitive edge. Shoppers are paid to [anonymously] eat at selected establishments and give thorough feedback on their experience. While this concept started in NYC, it can also be implemented in vibrant college towns.

College campuses offer a wealth of opportunity for students and local restaurants alike

Campuses like the University of Michigan are a smorgasbord of options for students to branch out and try with their peers. At the same time, with so many businesses in close proximity to one another, there is a need to figure out how each one can gain a competitive advantage.

Campuses like the University of Michigan are a smorgasbord of options for students to branch out and try with their peers. At the same time, with so many businesses in close proximity to one another, there is a need to figure out how each one can gain a competitive advantage.

In exchange for free meals, students share their dining experience to help restaurants improve.

In exchange for free meals, students share their dining experience to help restaurants improve.

After each scheduled restaurant visit, students will be asked to complete a survey detailing their experiences with the food quality, customer service, and general atmosphere.

Instilling a reward system to ensure feedback is given in a timely manner.
